Dr. Martin P Alphonse, TN, India

With a B.Sc. in Microbiology and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bharathiyar University, India, as well as an M.Sc. in Immunology from the University of Manitoba and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Alphonse brings together diverse scientific perspectives in their research. Their work focuses on immuno-dermatology research in the lab. By using advanced techniques such as RNA sequencing, immuno-metabolomics (functional Met-FLOW), and spatial transcriptomics, they aim to discover new biomarkers and therapeutic targets for skin-related immune diseases. Dustin Dikeman, GladStone, OR, Senior Research Specialist

Dustin has a Master’s from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys LitRPG audiobooks and occasionally creating etched or stained glass.

Dr. Darshan Sivaloganathan, Toronto, Canada, Medical Student

Darshan is a 3rd year medical student at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has a B.S. from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. from Princeton University. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

Namya Nanda, Medical Student

Namya is a sophomore studying Biology in the Seven Year BS/MD Program at The College of New Jersey. In her free time, Namya is an Indian classical vocalist and dancer.

Emily Cahill, Currently: Medical Student

Emily joined the Alphonse lab as a junior majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Psychology. She graduated in December 2022 from Johns Hopkins University. Following her graduation, she worked in the Alphonse lab as a Research Assistant. Currently, she is a medical student in Stony Brook, NY. In her free time Emily was a member of the varsity track team at Johns Hopkins
